Project Kid Dok 2013
In 2012, Kalyana Shira Foundation started Project Kid Dok to make 3 short documentaries for children. The documentaries premiered at the opening event of KidsFfest on 17th April 2013:
Grady, The Healer by Ray Nayoan
Grady is a twelve year old boy who has a special ability to heal sick people. But his true mission is to heal our earth.
Farewell My School by Ucu Agustin
Lintang (11) drums in a school band and is preparing his last performance. He's leaving school and has to say goodbye to his best friends, who are blind or handicapped with low vision like him.
Chocolate Comedy by Chairun Nissa
Fatih (7) wants to be a stand-up comedian and jokes about the one thing that he cannot have: chocolate!
The documentaries have been made within the KidDok workshop for film professionals. Project Kid Dok has been funded with the support from Kalyana Shira Foundation, Goethe Institut and The Netherlands Embassy in Jakarta, in cooperation with doxs! (Germany), Kids & Docs Workshop (the Dutch Cultural Media Fund, IDFA and Cinekid, the Netherlands) and MNC Channels (Indonesia).
