Kalyana Shira Foundation proudly presents the fourth edition of Indonesia's International Film Festival for Children and Young People (KidsFfest) from 27 April until 6 May 2012.

The festival includes film screenings at Blitzmegaplex Grand Indonesia, a short film competition, subtitle workshops and dubbing workshops. There are also free film screenings at KidsFfest's Open Cinema from 27-29 April. The Open Cinema is located at West Mall Level 8 Grand Indonesia Shopping Town. A selection of five films are in a competition program and judged by KidsFfest Jury:

Cody Isaiah McClendon (Cody, 15 years); Halimma Arini Saraswatia (Tiya, 12 years); Muhammad Jihad Rahtomo Soekarno (Jeje, 13 years)

Our Mission:
1. To provide access for children to good quality films from around the world which hopefully will inspire healthy discussions about cultural diversity;
2. To give children the opportunity to participate in the festival through workshops and a children's jury;
3. To use film as a medium to improve children's education.

KidsFfest Program

KidsFfest's main festival takes place in Jakarta. KidsFfest 2012 main program presents 11 international feature films with excellent reviews and achievements at various international film festivals, plus 4 feature films and a short film program from Indonesia. All international films are with English and Indonesian subtitles.

KidsFfest's fourth edition consists of 6 festival days, divided into 2 consecutive weekends, with a total of 24 film screenings.

1. KidsFfest gives opportunity to Indonesian children to watch good quality films, suitable for their age. The film program is divided in several age groups: 6+, 8+, 10+ and 12+.
2. KidsFfest is bringing a great variety of international children's films to Indonesia offering Indonesian children and their families the unique opportunity to watch films that are usually not shown in local theatres nor on TV, and are also not available in video stores.
3. KidsFfest is a festival for all children living in Indonesia from all backgrounds and religions. The program includes free CSR screenings for the lesser-privileged children, special school screenings and a free tour program for children living outside of Jakarta.
